In a bid to promote STEM education awareness among students, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Region 10, in collaboration with the Academy of Intellects, successfully conducted a programme for students of grades 8, 9, and 10 at Imaduddin School. The event, which took place on September 25, 2022, at the school hall, saw the participation of several distinguished individuals in the field of education.

The session was led by Dr. Amit Kumar, the IEEE Chapter Committee Chair of Region 10, who engaged the students with an informative and interactive session on STEM education. The event was attended by Deepak Mathur, the IEEE Director of Region 10 (Asia Pacific Region), the senior management of Imaduddin School, and Dr. Ibrahim Waheed, the CEO of the Academy.

The programme aimed to raise awareness about the importance of STEM education and its potential for students’ future careers. Students were encouraged to pursue STEM subjects and given an opportunity to interact with professionals in the field. The event was a resounding success, and the IEEE and the Academy of Intellects remain committed to promoting STEM education to students across the Maldives.
