Our Founder
Dr Ibrahim Waheed is a technology management and educational technology specialist with more than 12 years of extensive experience in academia. Prior to working in academia, Dr Waheed worked for more than 10 years in different government organisations in management and leadership positions. Throughout the years in academia, he realised the disparity between employee skills and industry expectations in the ever-changing labour market.
He felt the need to fill the graduate skill gaps and the importance of incorporating civic education and etiquette into the training for professionals as well.
The Academy of Intellects has been his vision for a long time, and he has achieved the objective through hard work, dedication, and experience.
Our Advisory Board
The advisory board consist of a group of experienced professionals who provide guidance, insight, and recommendations to the academy’s leadership team. The board members are typically selected for their expertise in the relevant industries and areas of focus for the academy.
The advisory board’s main purpose is to provide strategic direction and ensure the academy’s training programs are relevant and up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. They also play a crucial role in assessing the effectiveness of the training programs and identifying opportunities for improvement. Additionally, the advisory board serves as a valuable network for the academy, providing connections to potential partners, clients, and industry experts. Board members may also provide mentorship and coaching to the academy’s staff and instructors, sharing their knowledge and experience to help develop the academy’s capabilities.

Ahmed Fayaz Hasan is an accomplished specialist in corporate training with more than two decades of experience in the fields of education, training, and professional development. Throughout his career, he has held several prestigious positions, including Minister of State for Health and Family, Vice Rector at Avid College, and Registrar at Villa College. He earned an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University to further enhance his knowledge and skills.
Dr. Zahid is a certified EIA consultant and an expert in Environmental Science. He has dedicated a significant portion of his career to working in the field of climate change, environment, and natural disasters while serving in the Department of Meteorology both before and after completing his PhD studies from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Along with presenting papers at prestigious conferences, he also gained teaching experience as a teaching assistant at the same university.
Thasim Rafi, a Sri Lankan national, is a renowned international corporate trainer who has facilitated numerous programs on ‘Innovation and Creativity’ for both public and private sectors. He also serves as a specialist advisor at PwC, providing his expertise in advisory capacity for significant projects in tourism, healthcare, banking, construction, IT, and renewable energy sectors. As the Co-Founder and CEO of Hubpoint Global Pvt Ltd, he spearheads the company’s operations. Furthermore, he is a visiting lecturer at the University of Sri Jayawardenapura, where he imparts knowledge on Digital Marketing.
